Lao Telecommunication is a comprehensive telecommunications service provider in Lao PDR. The network covers all province throughout the country. It is number one operator in Lao PDR.

Lao Telecommunications "Lao Telecom: is a joint venture between Lao Goverment holding 51% and investors from Thailand, Shin Corporation holding 49% for a 25 year term.

Lao Telecom was etablished on November 11,1996. To provide comprehensive service using up to date digital technology: PSTN (fixedline), GSM (mobile phone), CDMA (fixed wireless telephone), Public Telephone (card phone), International Call (IDD & VOIP), Internet Service (dial up, broadband & wireless internet) and Rural Telephone.
